Salute the Kids Foundation!

Terrell Davis was one of the most respected and loved Broncos of the modern era.  During his career in Denver from 1995 to 2001, his accomplishments on the field were legendary.  But to many people, the person, Terrell Davis, is as great, if not greater than the player T. D. became.  And his Mile High Salute after scoring a touchdown became a much anticipated aspect of Broncos’ games throughout his career.

In August, 1998, Terrell started the Salute the Kids Foundation to help the less fortunate in Denver

and in San Diego (his hometown).  The Terrell Davis Salute the Kids Foundation provides basic resources such as food, money or supplies to assist community organizations that address this problem. Terrell’s goal is to make a real difference in his community and hometown.  Read about the Salute the Kids Foundation at:  http://www.salutethekids.org

Terrell has structured his foundation after the extremely successful Newman’s Own^® business model implemented by Paul Newman in 1982.  Mr. Newman started out by selling salad dressing that became nationally known and his endeavor to date has donated over $300,000,000 to various charities.  Well, you’ve got to start somewhere as they say, and T. D. is starting right here, right now!

Early in 2011, Terrell Davis was in Denver introducing his new “Terrell Davis Mile High Salute Barbecue Sauce” for various retailers and to the media.  The response to the “Sauce” has been good but the marketing effort has not had the success that was intended.  So we’re going to “spice up” the marketing program so we can sell some Sauce – and help a bunch of kids!
